Scientific investigation of life is an exploration of God’s remarkable creation.

  • What is life?
  • When did life begin?
  • How does life continue?
  • Why did God create life?
  • What is science?
  • How can science help us learn more about God?
  • What are the limits of science?
  • What are the tools of life science?
  • What can science explain about creation?
  • Why are science and faith compatible?
  • Why do most scientists reject creation science?
  • What is the fallacy of presuppositionalism?
  • What does the ‘god of the gaps’ term mean?
  • Can truth be known? It can be known. But not all of truth can be known. Truth in God is infinite. We are finite. therefore full and total comprehension of truth.
  • Is truth knowable?

Because Jesus Christ is life, life science is best understood by understanding Christ. However, because of the design of life, much can be explained by the organization of its design. This design makes science possible. The laws of science are derived from predicable behaviors that are always the same everywhere.

The big question in life is: “What is life?” At Fayetteville Christian High School, students learn the spiritual and physical answers to this question.

The condition for experiencing spiritual life is defined in First John 5:12, which says, “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” Jesus explains in John 14:6 that, “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” For this reason, Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (John 11:25 ). And this is why Acts 4:12 declares, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Have you ever considered Jesus’s admonition in John 3:15?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Biology is the study of physical life. What is physical life and how does it work?

Historically biology has advanced from being a descriptive science to an analytical science. FCS students learn about the molecular makeup of cells and how they chemically interact to distinguish them as living from non-living. From the code of life to the categorization of life, students receive a foundation of biological training that will give them insights into how living organisms are designed, how diverse life is, and how the human body functions.

FCS biology students sprout axons, get smarter, and learn to live better.
